Charlie Wu holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering and worked for automation industry for years. He had engaged in automation engineering design and sales management in Panasonic and Keyence, which made him has rich experience of applied technical capacity and project management.

He set up IE Tech. in 2004, a company which focuses on the industry application of robot and machine vision, continues to provide excellent integral solutions for enterprise, and to do the application of technology effectively.  With deep learning of automatic innovation technology application, it gradually becomes a leader in machine vision, robots, 3D visualisations and simulations.

IE Tech. is one of the best in system integrators, and has already achieved the systematic and online project management by introducing SAP. It has been honoured as a “King of Non-standard Equipment in China Machine Vision” by China Machine Vision Industry Union (CMVU).

Georg Stieler is the Managing Director of STM China. STM is a German consulting firm providing market insights and business development services for technology companies. Clients of the branch in Shanghai include companies such as ABB, Bosch and Daimler.

Georg started STM’s office in Shanghai in 2011. Together with his team, he supports suppliers and operators of robotics, sensors and CNC-systems in the region. He constitutes the base for STMs extensive knowledge about the Chinese automation industry and has become one of the leading independent experts in this field. In this function, Georg frequently lends his expertise to investors and startups from Europe, the US and China.

Georg is frequently being quoted on the Industrial IoT by leading German and international publications (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Handelsblatt, Wirtschaftswoche, Robotics Business Review, OECD, etc.) and is a prominent speaker (e.g. Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), RoboBusiness, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), the German Electrical and Electronical Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI), TEDx Shanghai, etc.).

In his free time, he enjoys to discover Asia on his bicycle – also in endurance sports events (e.g. Taiwan KOM Challenge, Jiayuguan International Desert Triathlon).

John Gao is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Schindler China & Asia Pacific, a Senior Vice President of Schindler China, as well as a member of the global leadership team of Schindler Digital Business.

Prior to joining Schindler, John worked in other IT related functions for over 20 years and across more than 10 different countries / regions. Prior functions of responsibility included the CIO position of Schaeffler Group, Director of Application Management at Bosch Rexroth China, as well as Development Supervisor at Bosch Rexroth North America.

In his current function at Schindler, John takes overall responsibility for leading the company’s digital transformation throughout Asia Pacific. Some of the key challenges in this effort are finding ways to digitize our field operations and putting the Internet of Things (IoT) to best use. This includes topics like making sure our maintenance technicians have access to historical performance data of our equipment to predict imminent break downs before they occur.

Mr Zeng Ming was born in 1977. He is a PhD, CPC member, and founder and secretary general of Internet of Things Association of Guangdong Province. He bends on research, development, application and industrial promotion in such fields as low-power consumption WAN technique, smart home, industrial Internet of Things and smart city. He holds 6 authorised patents, and 5 software copyrights. He has compiled 1 international standard and 1 national standard. He serves as technical (strategic) advisor of famous IoT enterprises including Gizwits, Scinan, Sunlux, Tatwah Smartech and ZTE Welink. Under his leadership, Internet of Things Association of Guangdong Province has abandoned the traditional organising approach featuring “Level II government mode”, shifted from being passive to being active, and turned to fully market-oriented notion of organising. The association focuses on serving enterprises and fulfilling the mission of generating value for them, and strives to be a satisfactory helper of enterprise and government. By building platform and facilitating communication, it has planned constructive activities that are well-received in the circle of IoT for benefiting enterprises and the industry, which include Tour in Top 100 IoT Enterprises, IoT Smart Class, inaugurating ceremony of IoT Expert Committee of Guangdong Province, Summit of Presidents from Top 100 IoT Enterprises in Guangdong, Summit on Chinese International IoT and CEO Summit on Chinese IoT. At present, the association has gathered more than 2,000 IoT enterprises on its platform and thus become one of the most dynamic IoT trade organizations in China.

Dr Mohamed El-Refai, IBM Distinguished Engineer, and IBM Academy of Technology Technical Leadership Team Member, graduated with honors from the Electrical and Communication Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt in 1994. He completed his Master’s and Ph.D. with honors in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA in 1998. He worked with several IT organizations in various technical roles from 1991. Since 1998, he joined IBM and became senior certified architect with IBM and distinguished certified architect with the Open Group in 2007, as well as Project Management Professional (PMP). Since 2009, he leads the China Architecture Center of Excellence for Greater China Group (China, HK and Taiwan). He was elected as IBM Architect Profession Leader since 2011. He was appointed to the IBM Academy of Technology in 2013 and the academy leadership team in 2016. He was appointed as an IBM Distinguished Engineer in 2014. He is the Greater China Group Global Business Services CTO, leading several CoEs focused on Cognitive, Internet of Things, Block-chain, Quantum Computing, Bluemix, Architecture, Consulting and Project Management. He has led the architecture of various complex systems for finical and retail clients. He leads the GBS Innovation Center focused on developing innovative solutions exploring new frontiers of cutting edge technology. He has extensive experience in delivery excellence and successfully delivered hundreds of IT systems to various clients through his career. He formally instructs key architecture topics in IBM and is recognized as an expert in the domain of solution delivery and delivery methodology.
